»About
The Left Banke were a late 1960's band from New York with a unique sound. Critics labeled them "baroque-pop" due to the classical influences in their music.

Besides three songs that hit the Billboard charts, "Walk Away Renee," "Pretty Ballerina," and "Desiree," the group left behind a legacy of music that influenced notable musicans ranging from Leonard Bernstein to Alice Cooper.

»Strangers On A Train
Strangers On A Train (called Voices Calling in the UK) was recorded 1978-79, but was not released until 1986 on Relix Records in the US and Bam Caruso in the UK.

My only intention for offering these songs for download is to share them with Left Banke fans both old and new. If Tom Finn or anyone else who owns the copyrights to these does not want them on this site, contact me and I will take them down ASAP.

I have made cover art that is printable and can be used in a CD jewel case. They are huge .tif files, made in CMYK format so I am offering them along with .jpg copies in a .zip file to save bandwidth. They look big and ugly, but they need to be large in order to print properly. You can use a free program like coverxp to get them the right size for your jewel case.

This collection would not be possible without Power Pop Lovers. You will need a program like Winrar or 7-Zip to download these files. They will take a few minutes to download depending on your internet connection.
